Razbaev emphasized that the historical ties between Azerbaijan and Central Asia have been evident for centuries, as all these countries were part of the Great Silk Road in one way or another.
“The C5 format was a significant tool for strengthening interaction in the region. Now that Azerbaijan has joined, we have a new C6 format. This is a natural continuation of historical ties. Central Asia is expanding its horizons. While C5 was previously limited by geography, C6 brings us back to the old trade routes,” he added.
The expert noted that this approach fosters friendly relations between peoples: new tourist routes are being created, air flights are being launched, and trade turnover is increasing.
“Cultural identity plays an important role in this process: we are all Turkic-speaking peoples, and we have much in common. The C6 format will accelerate integration and mutual understanding. This concerns not only political positions but also the development of international law and national institutions,” Razbaev noted.
In his opinion, joint analytical studies allow for a better understanding of each other's interests and the preparation of necessary reforms.
“Now is a favorable time to form a common agenda. Countries have always supported such initiatives, and business, trade, and investments are the areas where common interests will manifest first. Culture and tourism will follow the economy, which will further strengthen regional cooperation. This will undoubtedly contribute to the creation of consensus and partnership not only within the region but also beyond its borders,” he concluded.
