The interest rate on loans for gasification has been reduced to 3%
According to the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers dated April 28, 2025, the interest rate on loans for connecting to gas networks and purchasing equipment for gas heating has been reduced from 8% to 3% per annum.
The Ministry of Energy has informed that within the framework of this program, preferential loans of up to 150,000 soms are provided. These funds are allocated from the republican budget through "Aiyl Bank" and "Eldik Bank".
In 2025, 146 citizens took advantage of loans totaling 18.082 million soms.
According to information from OJSC "Gazprom Kyrgyzstan," 33 billion soms have been invested in the development of gas infrastructure. The level of gasification in the country increased from 22% in 2014 to 44% in 2025, and the total number of subscribers reached 444,000.
In Bishkek, gasification has affected 54 residential areas, and more than 51,000 subscribers have been connected to the network, of which 36,000 homes have switched to gas heating. This has led to a reduction in coal consumption by more than 100,000 tons per year.
The gasification process is aimed at improving the environmental situation and reducing air pollution. To obtain a preferential loan, citizens can apply to "Aiyl" and "Eldik" banks.
