The reason for this decline, as explained by Zhantaev, was the decrease in crop yields. In contrast, the livestock sector shows positive dynamics: meat production increased by 104.3%, milk by 107%, eggs by 141%, and wool by 103.6%.
The first deputy representative also noted that in 2025, the lack of water created significant difficulties for agriculture, which reflected on the average yield. As a result, the share of the Chui region in the total grain production across the republic amounted to 24.7%.
To support local farmers, 4 billion 687 million soms were allocated in 2025 in the form of loans. Of this amount, 2 billion 749 million soms were provided to 1,075 farmers through AО "Aiyl Bank," and 1 billion 938 million soms to 923 farmers through AО "Eldik Bank" as part of state preferential lending programs.
"These funds are aimed at developing the agro-industrial complex, including the project 'Financing Agriculture - 13,' leasing, breeding of pedigree livestock, seed production, gasification, and interest-free lending under the 'Social Contract' program," Zhantaev added.
As for pastures, their total area in the region is 850,492 hectares. In 2025, 15,302 kilograms of seeds were sown on an area of 2,506 hectares to develop unproductive pastures.
According to the pasture committees, over the 12 months of 2025, 46 million 898 thousand soms were collected from pasture users, exceeding last year's figure by 19 million 285 thousand soms.
