As of the end of 2025, the situation is as follows:

The largest number of cattle is concentrated in the following regions: Osh region (22%), Jalal-Abad region (21%), and Chui region (17%). Jalal-Abad region (22.6%) and Osh region (22%) lead in the number of cows. Sheep and goats are mainly found in Jalal-Abad region (22.5%). Horses are predominant in Naryn region (26.3%), while the largest number of poultry is recorded in Chui region (45%).
Additionally, in separately located facilities such as wintering grounds, sheepfolds, and poultry farms, there are: 213,000 head of cattle (11.5% of the total), 956,000 sheep and goats (15.1%), over 100,000 horses (17.8%), 16,000 pigs (57%), and 3,900,000 birds (45%).

From December 10 to 25, 2025, local self-government bodies conducted a unified census of livestock and poultry in 231 rural areas and 33 cities. The census covered all categories of farms, as well as separately located facilities (wintering grounds, sheepfolds, poultry farms).
