In Osh Region, 1 city and 5 rural administrations have ceased to be subsidized.
On February 17, a meeting was held to discuss the results of socio-economic development in the Osh region for 2025 and to address tasks for 2026. It was attended by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev, the authorized representative of the president Amanakan Kenzhebaev, and other key figures in the region.
Amanakan Kenzhebaev delivered a report in which he presented information about plans for the upcoming year.
As noted by the regional leader, in 2025, 120 new enterprises were opened, creating 1,474 targeted jobs due to improved business conditions and investment attraction. A total of 17,453 jobs were created, with over 5 billion 938.5 million soms invested in industry. Investments increased by 3 billion 392.9 million soms compared to the previous year, while the volume of subsidies decreased by 3.5%. As a result, the following areas exited from subsidy financing:
- Gulcha (Alaï district);
- Kok-Jar (Nookat district);
- Dostuk (Aravan district);
- Dön-Bulak (Uzgen district);
- Karool;
- Salam-Alyk (Uzgen district).
For road works in 2025, 8 billion 233 million soms were allocated from various funds, allowing for the completion of repairs on 415.9 kilometers of roads, increasing this figure by 188.4 kilometers compared to the previous year.
In the construction sector, 2 billion 455 million soms were allocated, which funded the construction of 43 facilities, including 11 schools, 12 kindergartens, 6 sports facilities, 1 hospital, and 2 water supply structures.
The regional development fund received 250 million soms in 2025, and 102 projects were reviewed, 42 of which were approved and financed.
Agricultural production in the region amounted to 85 billion 843.3 million soms, which corresponds to 18.7% of the total volume in the country and a physical volume index of 103.4%.
Efforts to develop unused land have also yielded results: the area has decreased by 154 hectares and now stands at 617 hectares.
After the report, Amanakan Kenzhebaev discussed plans for 2026 and gave instructions to local leaders.
