More than 60% of Kyrgyzstan's trade turnover is accounted for by the city of Bishkek, - National Statistics Committee

At a recent press conference, the head of the external trade statistics department, Gulsara Sulaymanova, reported that in 2025, the city of Bishkek became the center of foreign economic activity, accounting for the majority of Kyrgyzstan's trade turnover.

According to her, Bishkek demonstrated a trade turnover of $10.3 billion, which constitutes 60.8% of the country's total foreign trade volume. Of this volume, $4.2 billion came from transactions with EAEU member states, accounting for 71.3% of Kyrgyzstan's total trade with these countries.

The Chui region ranks second in terms of foreign trade volume, with an indicator of $1.8 billion, equivalent to 11.4% of the total volume. Of this volume, $0.9 billion is attributed to trade with the EAEU, making up 15% of the country's total trade turnover within the union.

As for other regions, the trade turnover of the Jalal-Abad region amounted to $695 million, in the city of Osh it reached $562 million, and in the Issyk-Kul region — $448 million.

In the Osh region, the trade volume was $329 million, in the Batken region — $116 million, in the Talas region — $84 million, and in the Naryn region — $53 million.
