According to a report by the analytical agency "Autostat," Kyrgyzstan ranked first among the EAEU countries in the number of new passenger cars imported into Russia.
Belarus came in second, supplying 17.1 thousand cars, while Kazakhstan rounded out the top three with 11 thousand. Armenia, on the other hand, sent only 344 new passenger cars during the same period.
When it comes to used cars, Kyrgyzstan holds the second position with 2.8 thousand such vehicles, followed by Armenia with 1.5 thousand and Kazakhstan with 1.1 thousand cars.
Additionally, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia expressed the need to change the procedure for calculating the recycling fee for cars imported into the country from the EAEU by individuals. The agency noted that when processing such vehicles, there are sometimes cases of undervaluation of customs value and schemes used to reduce fees. The proposed changes aim to create transparent conditions for imports and the correct payment of all fees.
