Kazakhstan Became the Leader of the EAEU in Gasoline Price Growth
In second place is Kyrgyzstan, where the price of gasoline increased by 15.1 percent, while Russia took third place with a rise of 10.8 percent. In Belarus, prices increased by 6.7 percent, while Armenia saw a decrease of 0.8 percent. Overall, the price level across the EAEU increased by 11.1 percent.
As for diesel fuel, its cost rose by 14.1 percent, which is also the highest figure among the union countries. Kyrgyzstan follows Kazakhstan with an increase of 11.1 percent, then comes Russia with 8.3 percent, Belarus with 6.6 percent, and Armenia, where diesel prices decreased by 0.9 percent. On average, the price increase for diesel fuel across the EAEU was 8.8 percent.
Electricity prices increased the most in Kyrgyzstan — by 20.9 percent. Russia took second place with a rise of 13.1 percent, and Belarus was third with 11.9 percent. Kazakhstan is in fourth place with an increase of 8 percent, while Armenia shows minimal growth — just 0.1 percent. Overall, the increase in electricity prices across the EAEU was 12.6 percent.
Starting in 2026, a unified market for oil and petroleum products is planned to be launched within the EAEU, which should help equalize prices in the participating countries. Currently, the Kazakh Ministry of Energy continues to enforce a ban on the export of gasoline and diesel fuel, including supplies to other EAEU countries, except for previously agreed volumes.
