Growth of Turnover
Since 2022, the virtual asset market in Kyrgyzstan has been actively developing, leading to an increase in the number of operators from six to 82, and trading operators from one to five, according to data from the Financial Market Regulation and Supervision Service.By the end of 2025, the total volume of operations by virtual asset service providers in the country reached 2 trillion 735 billion 62.5 million soms, marking a threefold increase compared to the previous year.
In 2025, the formation of the exchange segment was also observed: the turnover of cryptocurrency exchanges reached 157 billion 206.31 million soms, facilitated by 23,260 transactions.
The year 2025 became a breakthrough for Kyrgyzstan's crypto market: the total volume of operations by providers increased to 2.7 trillion soms with 2.1 million transactions, while tax revenues from virtual asset service providers amounted to 1.6 billion soms, despite a 2.4% decrease in energy consumption and the suspension of farm operations due to the crisis. Emission reached 6 billion units, generating over 3 billion soms amid increased state control. However, risks remain: U.S. sanctions against Grinex, Garantex, and A7A5 highlight vulnerability to international restrictions.
