
On February 16, during a meeting of the relevant committee of the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Minister of Finance Nurbek Akzholov responded to a request from Deputy Dastan Bekeshev, providing current information on state loans.
As of today, the total volume of Kyrgyzstan's state debt amounts to 8 billion 850 million dollars. Of this amount, 5.2 billion dollars are external borrowings, while the domestic debt, which includes obligations to local creditors and holders of government securities, stands at 3.5 billion dollars. These figures have become an important aspect of the discussion on the financial sustainability of the budget for the current year.
