In 2025, 1,087 hectares of grain were lost and written off, and grain harvest decreased by 14.2%
Of this number, 318 hectares were wheat, and 769 hectares were barley.
The main factors that led to the loss of crops were unfavorable conditions for rainfed agriculture with low germination rates, as well as natural disasters, including hail, mudslides, high temperatures, and frosts.
The final report for 2025 indicated that the total volume of harvested grain (excluding legumes, rice, and buckwheat, in processed weight) amounted to 1,789.0 thousand tons, which is 14.2% lower than the figures for the previous year.
The decrease in the total harvest volume is associated with a reduction in the yield of grain crops (excluding legumes, rice, and buckwheat), which fell by 15.3% compared to 2024.
