- According to the data from the National Statistical Committee, cereal crops (excluding legumes, rice, and buckwheat) occupy 609.7 thousand hectares, which accounts for 48.9% of all sown areas.

In second place are forage crops with an area of 400.5 thousand hectares (32.2%).

The distribution of sown areas by crops is as follows:

potatoes — 66.6 thousand hectares (5.2%)

legumes — 55.8 thousand hectares (4.5%)

vegetable crops — 56.6 thousand hectares (4.5%)

other crops (including rice, melons, etc.) — 24.8 thousand hectares (2.0%)

sugar beets (factory) — 13.4 thousand hectares (1.1%)

oilseeds — 12.5 thousand hectares (1.0%)

cotton — 6.4 thousand hectares (0.5%)

It is also worth noting that compared to 2024, there is a significant increase in sown areas for wheat — an increase of 7.1 thousand hectares, which corresponds to 2.9%.
