According to EDB information:
- The majority of Omani investments in Central Asia are concentrated in the raw materials sector, including oil and metal ore extraction, as well as in transport and logistics infrastructure related to the export and transshipment of grain.
- Equally important are projects in the fields of commercial real estate, logistics, industrial production, finance, and scientific-educational infrastructure.
- The main sources of funding include Oman's sovereign wealth funds and investors' equity, and in some cases, borrowed funds.
In the analysis, the following countries are classified as part of Asia: Afghanistan, Vietnam, India, Iran, Indonesia, China, Turkey, as well as the Gulf states — Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, the UAE, Oman, and Saudi Arabia.
The Eurasian region includes 13 countries: Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Mongolia, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Ukraine.
