The Ministry of Economic Development called the data in foreign media about the increase in European imports incorrect.
According to the agency, the growth in trade turnover is associated with both an increase in volumes in physical and monetary terms, as well as with the expansion of consumption and diversification of sources of imported goods that are not subject to control.
However, the Ministry of Economy emphasizes that the absolute values of trade turnover remain at a relatively low level.
The agency also refuted information from foreign media stating that exports from Estonia to Kyrgyzstan increased by 10,000%, from Finland by 3,100%, and from Poland and Greece by 2,200% and 2,100% respectively, as well as growth from Norway, the United Kingdom, Germany, and the Czech Republic by more than 1,000%. This data is not accurate.
