Registration of pesticides in Kyrgyzstan fully transitions to 'digital'

The Government of the Kyrgyz Republic has initiated a transition to digital technologies in the field of agrochemical control. According to the resolution adopted on February 5, 2026, amendments have been made to the rules for pesticide registration, allowing the necessary documents to be submitted in electronic format.

This reform is part of the Concept of Digital Transformation, covering the period from 2024 to 2028. The main goal is to reduce paperwork for the agricultural sector and increase the transparency of examination procedures.

Key changes for businesses and the government include:

Remote submission: applicants will now be able to send their documents online, significantly reducing administrative costs and eliminating bureaucratic obstacles.

Transparency of operations: each stage of registration and examination will be available for real-time tracking, helping to minimize corruption risks.

Unified database: the country plans to create a single electronic database of all approved pesticides and agrochemicals, simplifying and speeding up access to information.

Furthermore, the digitization of procedures will improve environmental control, ensuring more thorough monitoring of the quality of products entering the market, which in turn will positively impact public health and the environment.

Thus, the new rules aim to implement principles of openness in the work of government bodies and create a modern system for accounting chemical substances used in agriculture in Kyrgyzstan.
