"In the EAEU, tax differences do not hinder industrial cooperation, - Ministry of Economy"
Ashymbekov noted that although tax rates in the EAEU countries are generally higher than in Kyrgyzstan, this does not negatively affect the implementation of joint projects.
“Serious contradictions do not arise, as subsidies are allocated to banks, which then distribute the funds. If the project is implemented on the territory of Russia, it is subject to Russian legislation, and if in Kyrgyzstan — to Kyrgyz legislation. Each party acts in accordance with its own tax norms, which allows for the avoidance of obstacles,” he added.
He also reminded that Kyrgyzstan is actively participating in industrial cooperation in the field of computer technology together with Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan. Additionally, a project for the assembly of elevators is being implemented in cooperation with a Belarusian manufacturer.
Furthermore, Ashymbekov reported that the Belarusian side is exploring the possibility of launching a project for the production of transformers in Kyrgyzstan. At the same time, the existing transformer plant in the republic operates within the existing industrial base; however, it is currently not included in the EAEU industrial cooperation program.
