Among the participants were the First Deputy Minister Zhanibek Kerimaliev, heads of various departments of the ministry, the Department team, as well as heads of territorial divisions and laboratory managers representing all corners of the country.
The meeting focused on the results of work in 2025. Participants discussed in detail the achievements in the field of phytosanitary safety, identified problems, and ways to address them. The ministry's leadership noted that successful chemicalization and timely crop protection have a direct impact on the export potential of Kyrgyzstan's agricultural products.
As a result of the meeting, an action plan for 2026 was adopted, which included the following key priorities:
strengthening control over the import and use of pesticides and agrochemicals; optimizing the work of quarantine laboratories; enhancing phytosanitary monitoring to ensure the country's food security.
The implementation of these initiatives aims to reduce the risks of spreading harmful organisms and to improve the quality of Kyrgyz agricultural products both in the domestic market and beyond.
