In Kyrgyzstan, vaccination of 26 million animals was carried out in 2025, including large and small cattle, as well as birds. This was announced at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh by the Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, Bakyt Torobaev.
Torobaev noted that there are certain problems in private veterinary practice. There are about 1,600 private veterinarians operating in the country, but their earnings remain at an insufficient level.
The minister emphasized that to perform control and monitoring functions, veterinary specialists should receive higher financial motivation from the state.
In this regard, a project called "Young Veterinarian" is being implemented, which includes providing housing and benefits for veterinarians working in rural areas. However, as Torobaev noted, young specialists are still not eager to work in villages.
