Compared to 2024, activity in the cryptocurrency market tripled in 2025. For comparison, in 2022, when the legal sector was just beginning to develop, the volume of transactions was only $8 million.
The total number of transactions in the market exceeded 2.1 million.
This data indicates a significant growth in the virtual assets market and an increase in user interest in transactions with digital money.
Financial Supervision
The cryptocurrency market in Kyrgyzstan can be characterized as a large "digital exchange," where individuals and companies exchange soms for cryptocurrency and back for convenient payments and transfers. This method is the simplest and most in-demand for working with digital money. The participation of such exchanges accounts for over 94% of the total turnover, which is equivalent to $29.5 billion.
The remaining 6% (approximately $1.8 billion) comes from cryptocurrency exchanges, where professional traders conduct transactions by placing orders and analyzing charts.
Thus, in 2025, the use of cryptocurrency in the country was determined not by complex trading strategies, but rather by the simplicity and convenience of currency exchange.
