Kyrgyzstan has a strategically advantageous location, which opens up opportunities for transforming the country into a key regional hub for financial, trade, and logistics flows. This idea is outlined in the Development Program, which is planned until 2030.

With the increase in e-commerce volumes and the need to diversify transport routes, the importance of this direction is only growing. In this regard, the government has set ambitious goals for the implementation of the envisioned plans.

Key indicators for achieving the goals:

Priority projects and tasks

The government emphasizes the development of road infrastructure, including the upgrading of the "north-south" highway and the use of modern materials to enhance the durability of road surfaces.

In the field of rail transport, the key project remains "China - Kyrgyzstan - Uzbekistan," as well as the complete electrification of tracks and the modernization of rolling stock.
Significant changes are also expected in urban transport.
The transition to environmentally friendly electric buses, the creation of charging stations, and the development of comfortable pedestrian infrastructure with bike lanes are plans of the authorities. Public transport will have priority in the major cities of the country.

In civil aviation, the focus is on expanding routes, modernizing airports, and developing general aviation. To enhance the efficiency of transport services, international operators will be attracted to the republic, and the implementation of intelligent transport systems is also planned.

Simplifying customs procedures and developing transport corridors aimed at China, Iran, Pakistan, and Russia will help strengthen Kyrgyzstan's position in the regional ecosystem.
