On February 10, at a press conference, the Russian Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan, Sergey Vakunov, spoke about the prospects for increasing trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Russia by 2026.

He noted that last year the total trade volume between the two countries reached over 3 billion 160 million dollars, indicating steady growth.

One of the key events that facilitated this interaction was the 6th Kyrgyz-Russian Business Forum, where 30 memorandums worth 270 million dollars were signed.

According to Vakunov, Kyrgyzstan and Russia have all the necessary conditions to achieve a trade turnover of 5 billion dollars annually.

“The main factors here are Russian investments and new projects in the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as the growth of mutual trade and cooperation between the enterprises of the two countries,” he added.

The Russian side also emphasizes that the stable development of Kyrgyzstan's economy plays a key role in this process.
