The Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic made an important decision by signing Resolution No. 58, which allows the country to become part of the Agreement on Strengthening Ground Transport Connectivity in Central Asia.
This decision aims to create optimal conditions for national carriers and to develop international transport services. The key objectives of the agreement are to enhance transit potential, create a fair competitive environment, and significantly simplify border crossing procedures within the region.
In accordance with the established procedure, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic has been tasked with sending an official notification of accession to the agreement to Tajikistan, which is the depository of this document.
It is expected that the signing of the agreement will help eliminate administrative barriers and accelerate trade operations between neighboring countries. The resolution will come into effect 15 days after its official publication.
