How much alcohol producers paid to the budget of Kyrgyzstan in 2025

According to the Ministry of Finance, in 2025, revenues from alcohol excise taxes amounted to 3 billion 927 million 308.7 thousand soms, which is equivalent to $44.8 million. The largest share of these revenues came from vodka — 2 billion 736.3 million soms, followed by packaged beer with 786.1 million soms and cognac with 182.8 million soms.

It should be noted that in 2023, a ban was introduced in the country on the production and import of unmarked beer products classified under the HS code 2203, as well as on the circulation of all unmarked beer products on the territory of Kyrgyzstan. In 2022, a complete state monopoly was established on the production, import, storage, and sale of ethyl alcohol.
