Gas supply to CHPP-2 is expected to begin in the heating season of 2027/2028.
According to him, a contract for the supply of gas for CHPP-2 has already been signed. This will allow for the synchronization of investment programs and their planning, taking into account the start of gas supply in the heating season of 2027/2028. Cooperation is also underway with neighboring countries, within the framework of which the construction of main transport capacities is being carried out.
Arzymat Aldayev emphasized that one of the main tasks of constructing CHPP-2 is to reduce the electricity deficit and diversify sources of its production, as well as thermal energy.
He clarified that CHPP-2 was originally designed during the Soviet era to provide heating and hot water to the southwestern part of Bishkek, according to the master plan of the capital.
Additionally, the Deputy General Director noted that currently, CHPP-1 uses gas for igniting coal. "To fully switch to gas fuel, it is necessary to significantly increase the volumes of blue fuel supplies to the country," he added.
