Kyrgyzstan shows a significant lead in attracting FDI from countries in the Eurasian region, which includes the CIS states, as well as Georgia, Mongolia, and Ukraine.
From the beginning of 2024 to mid-2025, the volume of accumulated investments from these countries in Kyrgyzstan increased by 21%, while the average figure for the entire region was only 6.2%.
The total volume of accumulated investments from the Eurasian region into the economy of Kyrgyzstan amounts to, according to data, $ billion:
- In absolute terms, the volume of FDI reached $2.4 billion.
- The largest contributions to the increase came from Russia ($300 million) and Uzbekistan ($120 million).
- The main sectors contributing to growth were electricity (+$210 million) and manufacturing (+$95 million).
