She noted that she is aware of the country's dependence on imports and asked the Minister of Construction about the measures planned to support local production of building materials.
Minister of Construction Nurdin Oruntaev commented on this situation, pointing out the existing problem: a large portion of building materials is imported into Kyrgyzstan from abroad.
According to him, previously, Russia was the main source of metal imports.
“Now we have allowed the import of metal from China. Last year, prices fluctuated in the range of 55-58 soms,” he added.
