Deputy: The Ministry of Construction has 2.2 billion soms in accounts, but the minister only talks about 1 billion
In response, Minister Nurdin Oruntaev stated that by the end of the year, funds are typically absent.
“If we have a balance left, we return it to the Ministry of Finance,” he explained.
Tumonbaev also clarified information regarding the financing allocated for capital investments and state short-term bonds.
The minister noted that there are about 1 billion soms in the accounts, intended for the construction of facilities, according to state bonds.
However, the deputy reported that approximately 2.2 billion soms in the form of state bonds are accumulating in the accounts of the Ministry of Construction across various banks in the country.
“Since construction has been halted, these funds are not being used, and the Ministry of Finance has been forced to pay interest since 2023. You claim that you have only 1 billion soms, but in reality, the amount is 2.2 billion, and the Minister of Finance will confirm my words,” the deputy emphasized.
