EEC Launches New Financial Support Mechanism » Gazeta.kg — News of Kyrgyzstan and Bishkek Today

The Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) has given the green light to the launch of a mechanism that will provide financial support for joint cooperative projects in the agro-industrial complex (AIC) using the budget of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). This information was announced by the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.

Previously, such support was only applied in the industrial sector. The expansion of this initiative to the agro-industrial sector will create new opportunities for the development of cooperation among EAEU member states.

The main goal of the new program is to stimulate import substitution, improve the processing of agricultural products, and increase the export potential of the participating countries, including the Kyrgyz Republic.
Financing cooperative projects will help strengthen production chains in the AIC, expand interaction between states, and promote the creation of competitive products with high added value.

This decision is considered an important step towards ensuring sustainable development of the agro-industrial complex and deepening integration within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union.
