The new decision of the European Commission opens up prospects for local entrepreneurs
Kyrgyzstan is now officially listed in the register of honey-exporting countries for the European Union, marking the end of lengthy negotiations and opening new horizons for the country's agricultural sector.
The inclusion of Kyrgyz products in the list of goods permitted for import confirms the strict compliance of the national veterinary system with the technical regulations of the EU. To prepare for the start of exports, the Veterinary Service organized a series of meetings with producers across the country to develop an export strategy.
"This is a significant achievement that provides our beekeepers access to a market with high purchasing power," noted representatives of the relevant agency.
Previously, exports were banned due to non-compliance with international certification standards.
