According to him, the leadership of Uzbekistan predicts that the volume of the agro-sector could grow from the current $40 billion to $60 billion.
To achieve these goals, Kushnazarov believes that it is necessary to improve product quality, ensure sustainable information exchange, and implement digital technologies. He identified the main obstacle not so much in production and trade, but in the need to synchronize logistics and information processes. He emphasized that access to international markets will become possible with the implementation of digital traceability of goods and the use of electronic veterinary certificates.
In August 2025, Uzbekistan approved a state program for the digitalization of agriculture, which includes the creation of a unified platform for integrating data from farmers and agribusiness, as well as the use of drones in this field.
Kushnazarov highlighted among the immediate tasks the necessity of uniting government structures, companies, and associations to implement digital tools, as well as the harmonization of standards, which continues to be a significant problem for producers.
He also noted that the reforms carried out in the field of regulation have already contributed to the transition to a more efficient model that meets international standards and sanitary requirements.
Noting the dynamics, Kushnazarov added that over the past nine years, exports of fruits and vegetables from Uzbekistan have increased from approximately $600 million to $3 billion, with the goal of reaching $5 billion.
In conclusion, he emphasized the importance of regional cooperation and interaction with partners, noting that digitalization and standardization can significantly increase trust and expand access to markets.
