At a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Bolot Saginayev raised an important issue regarding the implementation of green energy in Karakol. He emphasized that, considering the plans for tourism development in the region, it is necessary to intensify work in this area and inquired with the director of the State Institution "Green Energy Fund" about current initiatives.
In response, Emilbek Orozbaev, the director of the fund, reported that work is currently underway to install solar panels on the roof of the vocational school in Karakol.
"In addition, two projects for the construction of mini-hydroelectric power stations are being implemented, and private investors are also working on projects in the field of green energy," he added.
Saginayev also touched on the topic of gasification in the region.
He reminded that in 2014, the company "Gazprom" acquired OJSC "Kyrgyzgaz" for a symbolic amount of 1 dollar. The agreement states that "Gazprom" intends to increase the level of gasification in Kyrgyzstan to 62% and provide gas to more than 400 settlements. The deputy asked, "How many settlements have already been gasified at this point?"
Deputy Minister of Energy Altynbek Rysbekov noted that for accurate information, one should contact the LLC "Gazprom Kyrgyzstan."
