China invests in large-scale modernization of Tokmok
The practical implementation of large-scale technological projects between Kyrgyzstan and China is finally starting. On February 2, Ravshanbek Sabirov, head of the National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, held talks with leaders of major companies Shanghai Minghou Xufu Business Consulting Management and Anté Lingkun (Shanghai) Technology. This visit was a result of discussions that took place in Shanghai in January, where the parties outlined the direction for the digital transformation of various regions of Kyrgyzstan.

One of the key topics of the meetings was the development of the city of Tokmok, which has the potential to become a technological center. Projects discussed included the "Global Ecological City," the implementation of smart public transport, and the creation of "smart medical cities" utilizing telemedicine technologies. There are also plans to develop an innovative e-commerce platform that will integrate business processes and services in the region.

Sabirov emphasized that the republic expects not only conceptual proposals but also tangible results, such as the creation of new jobs and the introduction of advanced technologies. At the end of the meeting, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed, which formalizes the commitments of the parties to implement these initiatives. The National Agency confirmed its readiness to provide full institutional support to Chinese investors with the aim of transforming Tokmok into a model of successful application of intelligent urban infrastructure management systems.
