At a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh Committee on Industrial Policy, Architecture, Construction, Transport, and Energy, Deputy Ulanbek Zhaanbaev raised the issue of apartment prices in Bishkek and Osh.
Talantbek Imanakun uulu, Deputy Minister of Construction, responded that the cost of housing offered by private construction companies in Bishkek ranges from 800 to 3000 dollars per square meter. In the city of Osh, prices start at 700 and go up to 1500 dollars per square meter.
Additionally, the deputy clarified information about housing prices provided to budget employees through the State Mortgage Company OJSC.
In response, the deputy minister stated that the State Mortgage Company OJSC has its own management, and the Ministry of Construction does not interfere in price formation, only exercising control over the quality of the constructed facilities.
