The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) has commented on the situation regarding the increase in the number of trucks at certain border crossing points between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.

The legal framework of the EAEU allows for the cancellation of certain types of controls in mutual trade between member states, except in cases specified by the union's legislation.
In general, successful partnerships between countries should be based on the lawful actions of governments and authorized bodies, while smuggling undermines economic stability and the resilience of integration processes.
Particular attention is paid to the issues of combating the shadow circulation of goods within the EAEU. Mechanisms for navigation seals, traceability, and labeling of goods have been developed to ensure the legal circulation of goods and reduce control by customs authorities, as well as measures to improve the control over the customs value of goods are being implemented.
