The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank will allocate $50 million to Kyrgyzstan
Deputy Minister of Finance Nurbek Akzholov reported that within the framework of the initiative "Developing a Sustainable Financial Market for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises," the World Bank has already allocated $120 million. In addition to these funds, the Asian Bank will allocate 7.3 billion Japanese yen, which is equivalent to $50 million.
The loan resources will be provided for 32 years, with the first seven years and six months operating at a floating rate of 1%. As Akzholov noted, the funds will be directed to support small and medium-sized businesses, especially "green projects." Entrepreneurs will be able to obtain loans ranging from 100,000 to 50 million soms for a term of up to five years at an annual interest rate of 8%.
Moreover, the deputy minister reported that the financing from the World Bank amounting to $120 million has already started being disbursed to entrepreneurs since the beginning of February this year.
As a result of the discussions, the deputies approved the proposed draft agreement.
