The Ministry of Agriculture plans to increase agricultural production by 30% by 2030
Ismailov noted that the main focus of this program will be on developing areas such as animal husbandry, crop production, water management, and the processing industry. Plans include the establishment of new enterprises, the introduction of modern technologies, and the enhancement of specialists' qualifications in this field.
The program also emphasizes issues related to providing drinking water, which is a key aspect for the sustainable development of rural areas.
Regarding crop production, Ismailov emphasized that one of the strategic tasks is to achieve a 30% increase in agricultural production volumes. This will be accomplished through the growth of production of key crops such as wheat and potatoes, which form the basis of the agricultural sector.
In the field of animal husbandry, the ministry plans to shift the focus from quantitative indicators to qualitative ones. This implies the development of breeding livestock instead of commodity livestock, which should lead to improvements in the volumes and quality of meat, milk, and wool.
Additionally, Ismailov reported on the allocation of funding for the development of cattle, including the purchase of breeding materials, in accordance with the Cabinet of Ministers' directive. The distribution of these materials will be carried out by regions, taking into account local climatic conditions.
“Part of the breeding materials has already been transferred to the regions, and the remaining part will be stored until farmers are ready to accept them,” added Aziret Ismailov.
