According to document No. 2026-P-12/6-1-(NPA), the action of resolution No. 2022-P-33/45-2-(NPA), adopted on July 22, 2022, remains suspended until August 1, 2026.
Under the suspended resolution, commercial banks in Kyrgyzstan were instructed to:
limit the amount of cash and non-cash foreign currency purchase/sale operations in exchange offices within the turnover of the exchange bureau during one calendar day;
submit reports to the National Bank every week by 14:00 on the Monday following the reporting week;
report on currency purchase/sale operations with exchange offices by the last working day of each month, sending data by 16:00 on the next working day.
Exchange offices:
- are prohibited from conducting transactions for the purchase/sale of cash foreign currency with commercial banks during a calendar day for an amount exceeding the working capital of the exchange bureau;
- when conducting operations with commercial banks for the purchase/sale of cash or non-cash currency, it is necessary to provide written confirmations from the head of the exchange bureau regarding the amount of working capital at the end of the previous day or at the beginning of the current day, attaching a receipt from the cash register.
