Customs control in Kyrgyzstan has been reduced from 5 hours to 1 hour
In 2025, as part of a large-scale digitalization program, the State Customs Service of Kyrgyzstan implemented a number of innovative measures.
Procedures for businesses were simplified: the number of procedures was reduced from 18 to 9, and the average time required for customs control decreased to one hour. In some border crossing points, the processing time takes only a few minutes. At the same time, the throughput of these points increased threefold, and this was achieved without increasing the number of staff.
Additionally, a Situational Center was created for online monitoring of key indicators, a "Customs Transit" module was implemented, and since October 2025, nearly 2 billion soms have been processed through the online payment system via QR code.
