The National Bank's Profit for 2025 Will Be Allocated to the Budget
The draft proposes a temporary suspension of the provisions of paragraphs 4 and 5 of Article 12 of the Law on the National Bank, concerning the distribution of profits and the formation of reserves, for the reporting period of 2025. The transfer of funds will be carried out after the annual financial statements are verified by an independent auditor.
Additionally, the initiative includes the repeal of the law dated February 5, 2025, No. 34, which previously established a similar procedure.
The explanatory note to the draft states that this measure is aimed at increasing the revenues of the state budget to finance social programs. It is proposed for consideration on an urgent basis and in three readings, as permitted by the Regulations of the Jogorku Kenesh for bills related to economic stability.
It is important to note that this draft law will not require additional budget expenditures and will not necessitate changes to other legislative acts.
