Kyrgyzstan's lawsuit in the EAEU court commented on by the State Duma
According to Leonov, citizens of Kyrgyzstan have the opportunity to obtain additional medical insurance policies in Russia.
He noted that working migrants and their families can purchase additional medical insurance policies at their own expense to receive medical services.
“Our position should be clear: clinics should not be overloaded with foreign citizens. Family members of labor migrants can independently purchase a policy and receive medical care... Migrants have the right to emergency medical assistance, but why should we finance their treatment at the expense of our budget?” he added.
It is worth noting that earlier Kyrgyzstan appealed to the EAEU court for clarification on mandatory medical insurance after refusals to issue policies to migrant families. A decision is expected to be made in two weeks.
