The World Bank will provide funds for loans to small and medium-sized enterprises
The Deputy Minister of Finance shared information about interest-free and preferential loans for businesses
At a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, Nurbek Akjolov, who holds the position of Deputy Minister of Finance, presented support measures for small and medium-sized businesses in Kyrgyzstan.
“Since 2021, we have attracted 150 million dollars in donor funds for medium-sized businesses. These loans were issued interest-free, and about 20,000 entrepreneurs have already taken advantage of this opportunity. We continue to develop this program,” emphasized Akjolov.
According to him, the program will continue this year: an agreement has been signed with the World Bank for 120 million dollars. These funds will be provided at an annual interest rate of 8%, and the loan amount for entrepreneurs will range from 100,000 to 50 million soms.
