Over the past five years, the volume of road construction in Kyrgyzstan has significantly increased

During the presidency of Sadyr Japarov, there has been a noticeable increase in funding from the state budget for the development of road infrastructure. Large infrastructure projects are actively being implemented in the country.

According to information provided by the Ministry of Transport and Communications, the volume of road asphalting has significantly increased over the past five years. In particular, the following results were achieved in different years:

2021 — 175 km;
2022 — 488.4 km;
2023 — 673.8 km;
2024 — 802 km;
2025 — 1545 km.

In particular, for the first time since gaining independence, at the initiative of President Sadyr Japarov, 750 units of special equipment for road workers were purchased from the republican budget between 2022 and 2024. This fleet included dump trucks, graders, bitumen transport vehicles, bulldozers, excavators, and other road machinery.

The Ministry also noted that high results in road construction are possible due to the continuous improvement of the material and technical base. The volume of acquired equipment is growing annually and is distributed across the regions of the country.
