During a parliamentary session, the speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh, Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu, reported numerous complaints from citizens regarding the rise in prices for services.
According to him, the prices for dishes in cafes and restaurants have particularly increased, with a rise of 10-15%.
The speaker noted that the ban on collecting service fees in restaurants did not affect businesses: entrepreneurs simply included these costs in the price of dishes. He emphasized the importance of preliminary analysis before adopting such laws and added that prices for services in Bishkek, including hairdressers and taxis, are higher than in the largest cities in the world. Turgunbek uulu urged the government to work more actively on solving this problem.
