The Head of the Antimonopoly Service announced meat prices in the EAEU countries, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan

At the meeting of the Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh on Finance and Economics, held on January 26, Jenaly Orozbaev, head of the Antimonopoly Regulation Service under the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, presented data on average meat prices in several countries.

According to him, the cost of 1 kg of meat in different countries is as follows:

Orozbaev also noted that despite higher prices in Uzbekistan, the average salary there is lower than in Kyrgyzstan. At the same time, in Kazakhstan, the salary exceeds 50,000 soms, while in Kyrgyzstan it is about 45,000 soms.

He added that by 2030, the republic aims to achieve complete self-sufficiency. "We have plans and programs for this," emphasized Orozbaev, adding that the agency can only control prices for 16 specific goods.
