At a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh Committee on Agricultural Policy, Water Resources, and Ecology, Deputy Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry Janibek Kerimaliev reported on the significant attention given to agriculture in Kyrgyzstan over the past five years.
He noted that for the first time, a 3% loan program has been proposed for the agricultural sector, which is a unique support measure.

“This is a substantial aid for peasants and farmers. There are 185 breeding farms operating in the country, and we have analyzed them, identifying those engaged in breeding breeds such as 'Arashan', 'Ala-Too', and 'Merino' to increase their numbers,” the deputy minister explained.

Kerimaliev also added that 6 billion soms have been allocated for the breeding program of pedigree animals.

“We are collaborating with 'Aiyl Bank' and 'Eldik Bank' to finance the purchase of pedigree animals from abroad for breeding and increasing the livestock population,” he emphasized.
