EFSR predicts a decrease in the share of imports in Kyrgyzstan's GDP to 63.6% by 2028
In particular, in 2024, this figure will be 86.4% of GDP, and by the end of 2025, it is projected to be at 71.3%.
According to calculations by EFCR experts, in 2026, the share of imports will decrease to 70.3% of GDP, in 2027 to 66.5%, and finally, in 2028, it will reach 63.6% of GDP.
The report emphasizes that the trend of reducing the current account deficit will continue. The main reason for this will be the decrease in import volumes in the machinery sector, while export and remittance figures remain stable, as noted in the document.
