Rosselkhoznadzor Halts Import of Products from Kyrgyzstan
During the verification of the accompanying documents against the actual labeling, discrepancies were found. The veterinary certificate of the Customs Union indicated a production date of August 7, 2025, however, the factory date found under the labels on the packaging was August 23, 2025.
The discrepancy in production dates violates the traceability chain of the product, which prevents confirmation of the epizootic well-being of the region from which the raw materials originated, and creates risks for the safe circulation of the product.
As a result, the import of this batch into the territory of Russia was prohibited, and the cargo was returned to Kazakhstan. The carrier faced administrative responsibility for this violation.
Since the beginning of the current year, 10 cases of violations have been recorded at the state border in the Omsk region, resulting in the detention of over 35 tons of animal-origin products and raw materials. Of this amount, more than 25 tons were returned to the senders in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, while about 10 tons remained in the territory of Russia.
