The Agricultural Sector of Kyrgyzstan Awaits Investments from Azerbaijan

During the meeting organized by the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic, the possibilities of attracting investments in the agricultural sector and the processing industry of the country were discussed. The event was attended by Deputy Minister Bekten Bekbolotov and Head of the Project Implementation and PPP Sector Iskak Anarbekov.

From the Azerbaijani side, the negotiations involved co-chairs of the Fund Zamir Osmonov and Iqbal Babayev, as well as board members Talgar Kyshybaev and Ilgar Guliyev, along with the advisor to the co-chairs Musa Dzhamanbaev.

During the conversation, the parties analyzed the current state of the agricultural sector in Kyrgyzstan and identified key areas for cooperation. Special attention was given to the modernization of production processes and the implementation of modern technologies. Among the discussed projects were the development of meat processing, animal feed production, industrial potato cultivation, and the construction of new greenhouses.

Representatives of the AKFR shared their experience in implementing investment initiatives and methods of supporting local entrepreneurship. In turn, the Ministry presented possible areas for cooperation, including the "100 Projects of the Ministry" program.

As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed on the necessity of regular consultations for the in-depth development of joint projects aimed at strengthening food security and increasing the export potential of Kyrgyz agricultural products.
