The Federal Tax Service suspended control over the use of POS terminals, electronic wallets, and QR codes
The measure only concerns small and medium-sized businesses
The State Tax Service (STS) has announced a temporary suspension of tax control, as well as raids and inspections regarding the use of payment systems in small and medium-sized businesses.
This moratorium will be in effect until December 31, 2026, and covers entrepreneurs using the simplified taxation system, as well as those operating under a patent and in trade zones with a special regime.
However, inspections will not affect companies that operate without tax registration, do not pay taxes on which complaints have been received or cases of tax evasion have been identified, as well as those engaged in the turnover of excise goods.
Despite the suspension of inspections, the tax service will continue to inform entrepreneurs about the rules for using POS terminals, electronic wallets, and QR codes.
