On January 22, the first meeting took place in Moscow, attended by Almaz Imangaziev, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic. The event was initiated by Russia with the aim of discussing a joint action plan for 2025-2027, which was approved at the second "Central Asia - Russia" summit in Dushanbe on October 9, 2025.

Deputies from various federal ministries and agencies of Russia also attended the meeting.

Imangaziev emphasized the Kyrgyz Republic's commitment to deepening cooperation within the "Central Asia - Russia" format. He noted the importance of ensuring regional security, developing trade, economic, and investment partnerships, as well as strengthening cultural and humanitarian ties.

Additionally, a separate meeting took place between Imangaziev and a representative of the migration service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, where the conditions for the entry and employment of citizens of Kyrgyzstan in Russia were discussed. The issue of difficulties faced by citizens included in the registry of controlled persons was addressed, due to the lack of a clear mechanism for their removal from this list. A request was made for the need to legally formalize the procedure for removal from the registry without leaving the territory of the Russian Federation.

The significance of the pilot project for digital migration accounting for visa-free labor migrants through the "Amina" application, which has been launched in Moscow and the Moscow region, was also noted, with a proposal to expand its application in other major cities of Russia.
